Pain Is Unavoidable, Suffering is Optional



This is one of my favorite TED talks, given by my Morty Lefkoe. It’s all about the meaning that we give to situations and how that meaning can drive suffering. Morty says, "It's not the pain that causes us suffering, it's the meaning we give our pain that causes us suffering.” This is a talk that I revisit over and over again, especially when I’m wrapped up in stories that are not serving me.
